Future Position X is a Non-profit Network Organization founded in 2006 when regional actors gathered in an initiative, with the mission to take position as a well established Geospatial Information Cluster.
We focus on Health and Well-being in the Smart, Sustainable, Viable City and Community, connecting our actions to Agenda 2030 (The Global Goals for Sustainable Development).
We are a key stakeholder in empowering SME and society for a sustainable growth in the Region of Gävleborg and beyond.
We help companies:
- Understand the context in which they work
- Investigate future customer requirements
- Set new goals
- Develop road maps for meeting those goals
- Receive the support and guidance they need

The Global Goals
In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals for a better world by 2030.
Future Position X shares the understanding that all 17 goals are intertwined and equally important. We contribute by mainly focusing on two of these goals no 3; Good Health and Well-being and no 11; Sustainable Cities and Communities.

Quadruple helix actors such as innovators, entrepreneurs, companies, organizations, business, politicians, researchers, students, citizens, test pilots – everyone who wants to be a part of new innovations, companies, products and services, within Geo Health. This includes stakeholders implementing projects within research, development, monitoring and evaluation in both private and public sector.
Companies and organizations searching for innovation support or new models to encounter users, clients or markets – We help you find your way forward. We organize meetings between companies, organizations, researchers and users who stimulate and advance your business.
Researchers who seek collaboration or exchange with other researchers are free to use our extended national and international network. The criterion is for your research to somehow involve geographical information. A specific discipline is not required.
