On Friday October 30, Future Position X will continue to share insights and learnings from the strategic innovation project: Public Sector Business Models connected to IoT and IoT data to the members of the European Cluster Alliance.

The European Clusters Alliance has been working intensively on the Recovery Plans for Europe to meet the challenges of the crisis. Currently, the Member States are preparing their national recovery plans, and clusters need to be a part of them. Therefore, the cluster alliance has  dedicated their webinar series (https://www.clustercollaboration.eu/event-calendar/european-alliance-against-coronavirus-webinars) to exchange information and ideas on how to work with our governments and which kind of projects to propose that are aligned with the European priorities. The European Commission has published seven flagship areas that will be of particular relevance for funding. One of them is “Modernise”, which we want to discuss in the webinar.

About the flagship “Modernise”:
EU-ID and key digital public services should be modernised and accessible to all. Secure and EU-wide electronic identification and authentication vis-à-vis governments and private actors and access to their services, will provide citizens with control over their online identity and data as well as enable access to online digital services. The digitalisation of public administration and services will increase the effectiveness of both. This includes also the justice and healthcare system.

The aim
By 2025, Member States should ensure the provision of a European digital identity (e-ID) and public administrations should be providing interoperable, personalised and user-friendly digital public services.(see Source: Annual Growth Strategy 2021)

The project Public Sector Business Models connected to IoT and IoT data was founded by the Strategic Innovation Program IoT Sverige. The project co-coordinator was Future Position X in partnership with RISE- Research Institutes of Sweden and Sensative.
